New York Times to Merge Online and Print Newsrooms in 2007

The New York Times today told its staff that it would merge its print and its online newsrooms in 2007. These newsrooms are currently several several city blocks apart in Manhattan. Look for stories in the news trade press about this significant internal merger later today and on Wednesday.
